Testimonials

My name is Ahilya Singh. I was a transfer student to Rajiv Gandhi University - School of Medicine from Fujian Medical University in China. I must say, initially, I had researched all private medical universities in Guyana before transferring, and well, RGUST was simply the best option. RGUST offers the most time-efficient Doctor of Medicine program, an affordable tuition structure, and the benefits of learning both theory and practical components of medicine from the best physicians Guyana has to offer. Currently, I am engaged in Clinical Rotations at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. Thus far, it has been a productive and enlightening experience and I am indeed grateful to be on this path to achieving my aspirations.

Ahilya R. Singh - Clinical Rotations Student

I, AFZAN ABHIJIT, am a fourth-year medical student at the RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. Currently, I'm doing my Clinical Rotations at a Public Hospital here in Guyana. If you want to talk about its experience, first of all, it's about the doctor-student relationship. The doctors over here treat us more as a colleague than as a student and at the same time, they make it very clear and concise about all the kinds of mistakes we can make. One thing to say is that they provide us the opportunity to do all kinds of procedures. They are trying to make us a good doctor by doing so. I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to work with these doctors and be a part of this institution.

Afzan Abhijet - India - Clinical Rotations

Rajiv Gandhi University has been one of the best choices I've made as an adolescent. The staff and students are wonderful and make learning easier.

Javier Wilmot - Jamaica, Pre- Clinicals Student

My stay here has been accompanied by a wide array of opportunities to expand myself in extra-curricular activities. The staff are willing to assist with ease. I have also been aided to pursue the medicinal program with a very comfortable class size which allows best one on one interaction with lecturers who are very knowledgeable of what they are doing and teaching.

Haresh Sahadeo - Pre- Medicine Student

One of the things I love the most about Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology is the emphasis placed on different learning styles beyond the classroom; from team based learning activities with our classmates to studying medicine here, you really feel like the experience and learning is tailored to suits your needs. The Faculty and administration here are constantly working directly with us in order to make the medicine program the best it can be for us as students. I am constantly impressed by how earnestly our feedback is incorporated into the day to day student life. The modules within the college exemplify this idea not only academically, but also socially, by providing a sense of ‘home’ while on campus. I strongly recommend the university for those who want to be a good doctor.

Nikhil Paul - International Student - 2nd year Student in MD program

I’m presently doing the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology and would like to share my experience over the last three years. I’ll start by saying, that choosing this university was the best choice I have made! I started the program with zero knowledge and now I feel completely confident in myself. I would also like to add that staff and lecturers are amazing! Each one of them gives you 110% at all time; they are very professional and amazing at what they do. Overall an amazing experience, I highly recommend this university to anyone who is interested and motivated in attending medical school, especially international students. This course has taught me a lot, both how to organise my studies and also to respect and appreciate the diverse student population around me. I have already recommended this university to those I know interested in pursuing their career in medicine.

Afzan Amir Abhijit - India 2nd year Student Basic Science Program

The school has helped me to take up the mantle as a leader through their student executive body. Thus, I have been able to foster a good relationship with many peers in and out of the classroom setting. Each student is attended to individually and learning is made easier since lecturers can help students to strengthen their weak points.

Anjanie Mohabir - Guyana 2nd Year Basic Science Program

I truly believe that after joining Rajiv Gandhi University of Science and Technology if it wasn’t for the comfortable environment among friends, lecturers and staff I wouldn’t have been able to survive through the university.
