Eligibility Requirements for Pre-Medicine Programme

Duration: 2 Academic years.

Guyanese/CARICOM Applicants: Must have at least five (5) subjects at CXC/CSEC level, including Mathematics, English, and the core science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology), all with grades 1-3.
North American Applicants: High School Diploma in the Science stream.
Commonwealth Applicants: A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grades 9-6 or equivalent required including Mathematics, English Language, and two science subjects.
Asian Applicants: Higher Secondary School (10+2).
Africa: Senior Secondary Certificate.

Duration: 4 ½ years. This excludes internships.

International Applicants:
- BSc./ Associate’s degree in any science-related stream from an accredited institution.
- Pre- Medicine from an accredited university.

Additional Requirement for Guyanese/CARICOM Applicants:
- Completion of units 1 & 2 for CAPE (Diploma certificate) or any equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

Valid police clearance certificate
Two letters of recommendation
CSEC/ CXC certificate along with any other certificate for higher studies.
Passport biographic data page
National Identification Card
Birth certificate
Personal Statement- Stating reason/s why you would like to pursue a BSc. Degree in Medicine.
Basic Medical Clearance certificate from a certified Medical Partitioner or any Public Health Facility.
Curriculum Vitae
Copy of COVID-19 Vaccination card.
Financial Support Letter from sponsor/guarantor/parent.
